Outline of Construction Method

The outer surface of the pipe processed non-woven fabric is covered with a plastic film, the non-woven fabric is impregnated with a thermosetting resin, inverted and inserted into the pipeline by fluid pressure, and then heat is applied to impregnate the thermosetting resin. By hardening, a plastic pipe is made in the pipeline (pipeline for sewerage, electricity, communication, etc.).

Pipe Diameter(inches)Thickness(inches)
Main Pipe 3 ~ 87 0.1 ~ 1.4
Lateral Pipe 4 ~ 8 0.1 ~ 0.23
Secondary Pipe 4 ~ 6 0.1 ~ 0.4
Manhole No.0・No.1・No.2・No.3 0.2 ~ 0.7

Unsaturated polyester, epoxy, vinyl ester used as thermosetting resin

Construction Period

The conventional open-cut method required about 7 days to construct one span (φ10in 164ft), but the SGICP method can be repaired in one day.

Watertightness

Conventionally, packing was required for construction while connecting pipes, but with the SGICP construction method, pipes without connections can be formed, so watertightness is extremely high. Demonstration experiments have reported results that can withstand an internal water pressure of 0.1 MPa.

Compact Construction Period and Equipment

SGICP lining material is manufactured at the factory and brought to the site to form CIPP (Cured-In-Place Pipe). With standard construction, installation is completed in 8 hours. We have achieved a cost reduction of 30% or more compared to the excavation method.

It is a pipe rehabilitation method that can reduce the financial burden by continuously forming new plastic pipes in the old existing pipes and integrating the lateral pipes.

The target facility can meet all needs such as mains, lateral pipes, manholes, etc.

The rehabilitation method, which forms a new pipe inside the existing pipe without digging up the road, has a low environmental burden, contributes to the construction period, construction cost, and space, and is used for renewal work of sewer pipes nationwide.

Manufacture of SGICP Lining Materials

The Ibaraki Kakioka Factory, which manufactures liners used in the SGICP construction method, has acquired ISO9001 (certification No. 11586), which is the international standard for quality management systems, in order to provide products with stable quality.

In addition, in order to reduce the environmental burden, we have acquired ISO14001 (certification No. 11668), which is the international standard for environmental management systems.
